Automated Escrow & Reversal Policy
Virtual-sims operates on a deterministic escrow model. You are billed for delivered verification OTPs. If a carrier node drops or verification times out, funds revert to your active balance.
The Core Zero-Loss Guarantee
Virtual-sims was engineered under a single premise: you only pay for SMS verification codes you actually receive. Carrier latency, congestion, and upstream filtering are outside your control. Undelivered verification attempts should not create financial risk for you.
Unfulfilled activations reverse automatically when the lease expires without a delivered code—no operator ticket needed for the standard timeout path.
Released escrow funds return to your wallet and can be used on another route or service without waiting for a manual refund queue.
15-Minute Escrow Lifecycle
Number provisioning
You request a line. Cost moves from active wallet into locked escrow.
Lease listener window
Telemetry waits for inbound SMS. You may cancel before a code arrives.
Deterministic settlement
SMS received → escrow settles. Timeout/cancel → 100% credit restore.
When the SMS is received and displayed in the dashboard or API, escrow settles as a completed service unit with a billing receipt in your transaction history.
If no message arrives within the lease (about 15 minutes), or you cancel before arrival, escrow releases with full funds returned and no penalty fee.
Automated Reversal Triggers
Escrow release runs without manual intervention under these events:
15-minute expiration
Countdown ends with no qualifying SMS → full deposit returns to active balance.
Manual client cancellation
Cancel in the UI (or cancel via API where supported) before the first inbound SMS arrives.
Carrier / node signal failure
Detected hardware or tower dissociation that aborts the session early triggers reversal.
Unsupported service rejection
If the destination service rejects the number before SMS transmission, the session cancels with credit.
Wallet Deposit Balance Refunds (Unused Funds)
Unused platform balances funded via cryptocurrency may be eligible for withdrawal subject to review, minimums, and network fees. This is separate from per-activation escrow reversals.
- Originating address return: Refunds are typically sent only to the wallet address / credential that funded the deposit.
- Gas / miner costs: On-chain fees are subtracted from the payout amount.
- AML screening: Larger withdrawals may undergo additional verification before release.
Exclusions & Non-Refundable Scenarios
Completed service units are not refundable after successful delivery:
Delivered & displayed codes
Any OTP successfully received and shown in dashboard/API is finalized.
Successful API deliveries
API responses that return the SMS/OTP content are committed to the ledger.
External gas / miner fees
Blockchain network fees paid during deposit or withdrawal are not recoverable.
Network Node Downtime
If our side detects a node or carrier failure before delivery, escrow reverses. Upstream filtering by the destination app (for example rejecting a number after you already received a code) does not create a second refund after settlement.
For stuck activations that did not auto-reverse, contact support with your activation ID so we can inspect escrow state.
Dispute & Support Node
Incomplete or stuck session?
Include activation ID / transaction ID when you write in.
Standard undelivered activations reverse automatically—support is for exceptions and wallet cashouts.
